Step-by-Step Instructions
- Boil the Pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a rolling boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the penne pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 8-10 minutes. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking, and check for doneness a minute early. When ready, drain the pasta in a colander but do not rinse; retain some starch for the sauce.
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a large skillet, set over medium heat, add the ground beef. Cook, stirring occasionally, for about 5-7 minutes or until the meat is browned and no longer pink. Use a wooden spoon to break it into small pieces. Once fully cooked, drain any excess fat from the pan.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce: Return the drained pasta to the pot over low heat. Pour in the creamy Alfredo sauce and stir gently to coat the pasta evenly. Add the browned ground beef to the pot, folding it in carefully.
- Mix in the Additions: Add the crispy bacon bits, sautéed onions, and diced pickles into the pasta mixture. Use a spatula to gently fold in these ingredients. Allow the mixture to heat through for about 2 minutes on low heat.
- Melt the Cheese: Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese generously on top of the pasta. Cover the pot with a lid and let it sit for about 1-2 minutes off the heat.
- Serve and Garnish: Scoop out generous servings of the Loaded Cheeseburger Alfredo Pasta onto plates or in bowls, topping with additional diced pickles and a crack of black pepper. Serve immediately.

Notes
Don’t rinse the pasta, and use starchy water if the sauce thickens too much. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
