  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil Olive oil can be used if necessary.
  • 1/2 teaspoon Chili Flakes Adjust to taste or use fresh chili.
  • 2 cloves Garlic (minced) Use fresh garlic for best flavor.
For Garnish
  • 2 tablespoons Green Onions (sliced) Scallions can be used as well.
  • 1 pinch Black Pepper Skip if a subtler flavor is preferred.
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Seeds Toasting them enhances flavor.

Method
 

Preparation
  1. Boil the eggs in a pot of water for 8-10 minutes, then transfer to an ice bath for 5 minutes.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, chili flakes, minced garlic, green onions, and black pepper. Whisk for 30 seconds.
  3. Peel the cooled eggs carefully and rinse them under cold water.
  4. Place the peeled eggs in the marinade, ensuring they are fully coated. Cover and marinate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
  5. After marinating, garnish eggs with sesame seeds and additional chili flakes, and serve.
