Cooking Steps
- Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring it to a boil. Gently add the eggs and stir in vinegar. Boil for 7 minutes.
- Prepare an ice bath in a bowl with cold water and ice.
- Transfer the eggs to the ice bath for 5 minutes. Peel under running water.
- Slice and toast the artisan bread until golden brown.
- Mix mayonnaise and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth.
- Place a peeled egg on each slice of toast, smash it with a fork.
- Season with salt and pepper and add any optional toppings you desire. Serve immediately.
