Method
 

Cooking Steps
  1. Fill a medium saucepan with water and bring it to a boil. Gently add the eggs and stir in vinegar. Boil for 7 minutes.
  2. Prepare an ice bath in a bowl with cold water and ice.
  3. Transfer the eggs to the ice bath for 5 minutes. Peel under running water.
  4. Slice and toast the artisan bread until golden brown.
  5. Mix mayonnaise and lemon juice in a small bowl until smooth.
  6. Place a peeled egg on each slice of toast, smash it with a fork.
  7. Season with salt and pepper and add any optional toppings you desire. Serve immediately.
