Step-by-Step Instructions
- Fill a large pot with water and bring to a boil. Blanch the napa cabbage leaves for 3-4 minutes until tender. Remove and pat dry.
- Heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add ground chicken and cook for 6-7 minutes until browned.
- Add minced garlic, grated ginger, and chopped shallots to the chicken. Sauté for 2 minutes until fragrant.
- Stir in diced mushrooms and shredded carrot. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes.
- Mix soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil. Prepare a corn starch slurry with water and add it to the skillet, cooking for 2 minutes until thickened.
- Trim stems from blanched cabbage leaves. Place 1 tablespoon of filling at the base of a leaf and roll tightly.
- Pan-fry the rolls seam-side down in a skillet with a teaspoon of olive oil for 2-3 minutes on each side until golden.
- Whisk together soy sauce, oyster sauce, granulated sugar, and water for a sweet sauce to drizzle over the rolls.
