Marinate and Prep
- Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain. Combine with soy sauce and cornstarch and let marinate for 15 minutes.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and sesame oil.
Cook the Beef
- Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated beef for about 2 minutes until browned but slightly undercooked.
Add Aromatics and Broccoli
- Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the wok, sauté for 30 seconds. Then, add broccoli florets and water, covering to steam for 1-2 minutes.
Combine and Finish
- Return the seared beef to the wok, pour in the sauce, and stir continually for 2-3 minutes until thickened.
