For the Sauce
  • 1 cup Beef Broth Low-sodium recommended
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar Adjust based on taste
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame Oil Use toasted for best flavor
For the Aromatics and Vegetables
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger Grated
  • 4 cups Broccoli Florets Fresh, crisp-tender
  • 1/4 cup Water
Optional Add-ins
  • 1 cup Snap Peas Adds sweet crunch
  • 1 cup Bell Peppers Chopped

Method
 

Marinate and Prep
  1. Thinly slice the flank steak against the grain. Combine with soy sauce and cornstarch and let marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the beef broth, oyster sauce, cornstarch, sugar, and sesame oil.
Cook the Beef
  1. Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Sear the marinated beef for about 2 minutes until browned but slightly undercooked.
Add Aromatics and Broccoli
  1. Add minced garlic and grated ginger to the wok, sauté for 30 seconds. Then, add broccoli florets and water, covering to steam for 1-2 minutes.
Combine and Finish
  1. Return the seared beef to the wok, pour in the sauce, and stir continually for 2-3 minutes until thickened.

Notes
