Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together oyster sauce, granulated sugar, sesame oil, soy sauce, chicken broth, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a rolling boil, add chow mein noodles, and cook according to package instructions (about 3-5 minutes). Drain and rinse under cold water.
  3. Heat oil in a large wok over medium-high heat. Sauté bite-sized chicken strips for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Set aside.
  4. In the same pan, add more oil if necessary. Sauté sliced carrots, shredded cabbage, and minced garlic for 3-4 minutes until vegetables are softened.
  5. Return cooked chicken and drained noodles to the pan, pour the prepared sauce over the mixture, and stir thoroughly. Cook for an additional 2 minutes until everything is coated and heated through.
