- Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of butter, allowing it to melt and coat the skillet evenly.
- Once the butter is melted, add 1 diced onion, 1 chopped green bell pepper, 1 chopped red bell pepper, and 1 diced jalapeño. Sauté for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Incorporate 1 pound of ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon, and cook for approximately 6–8 minutes until browned.
- Drain excess grease, then stir in 3 tablespoons of soy sauce, 1 teaspoon of garlic powder, and a sprinkle of salt and black pepper. Mix well.
- Serve the mixture over cooked rice and enjoy hot.
