Dough Preparation
- Activate the yeast by dissolving sugar in warm water and adding yeast. Let sit until frothy.
- Combine flour and salt in a bowl. Add olive oil and yeast mixture to form a shaggy dough.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for 8-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Grease a bowl with olive oil, place the dough in it, cover, and let rise until doubled.
- Punch down the dough and divide into two balls for two pizzas.
Topping Preparation
- Cook sausage in a skillet until browned. Remove excess grease.
- Sauté sliced onions in the same skillet until tender, then add minced garlic.
- Preheat the oven to 450°F (232°C).
- Roll out one dough ball into a 12-inch circle.
- Brush dough with olive oil, add sausage mixture and sprinkle feta.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes until crust is golden and cheese is bubbly.
- Drizzle honey and add basil before slicing and serving.
