Ingredients

For the Casserole
  • 4 cups Roasted Green Chiles Adds smoky flavor and heat; substitute with canned fire-roasted chiles if needed.
  • 2 cups Monterey Jack Cheese Provides excellent meltability and creaminess; can swap with mozzarella or Pepper Jack for a spicy twist.
  • 1 cup Whole Milk Contributes to a creamy texture; swap with half-and-half for richness or unsweetened almond milk for a dairy-free version.
  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour Gives structure to the casserole; a gluten-free flour blend can be used as an alternative.
  • 6 large Eggs Acts as the base that binds ingredients; whisk until smooth for optimal texture.
Optional Toppings
  • 1/4 cup Fresh Herbs Enhances flavor and adds freshness; cilantro or parsley make great choices.
  • 1/2 cup Crema or Sour Cream Adds a creamy finish and balances the spice; perfect for drizzling on top.
  • 1 cup Salsa Provides an extra layer of flavor and freshness; choose your favorite variety, but a zesty tomato salsa works wonders!
