  1. Begin by cleaning your sardines and cutting them into bite-sized pieces.
  2. In a large pot, heat 2 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat until shimmering.
  3. Add the chopped scallions and minced garlic, sauté until they become soft and fragrant.
  4. Stir in 1 cup of tomato sauce and gradually pour in 3 cups of stock and 2 cups of water.
