  • 500 grams Sausage Meat Minced pork or homemade sausage
  • 1 medium Onion Finely chopped
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced
  • 1 teaspoon Dried Thyme Can substitute with dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon Smoked Paprika Regular paprika works as well
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper Adjust for preferred heat level
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce Soy sauce can be used as a substitute
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon Mustard Yellow mustard can be swapped
For the Pastry
  • 500 grams Puff Pastry Ensure it's thawed if frozen
  • 1 large Egg For wash, can substitute with milk
  • 1 teaspoon Salt Adjust to taste
  • Extra tablespoons Flour For dusting

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Prepare the filling by mixing sausage meat, onion, garlic, thyme, paprika, black pepper, Worcestershire sauce, and Dijon mustard in a bowl.
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry on a floured surface to ¼ inch thick, cutting it into rectangles of 4 inches by 6 inches.
  3. Assemble the rolls by spooning filling into the pastry rectangles, folding them over, and sealing the edges.
  4. Brush the tops of the rolls with beaten egg for a golden finish.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 400°F (200°C) for 25 to 30 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Cool the rolls for 5 to 10 minutes before serving.
