- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Cook pasta for 8-10 minutes. Add broccoli in the last minute, drain both.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet. Season chicken with salt and pepper, cook until golden brown and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes per side.
- Sauté onion and garlic in the skillet for 2-3 minutes until onion is translucent.
- Sprinkle flour into the skillet, combine with onion and garlic, and cook for 1 minute to eliminate raw flour taste.
- Slowly add milk and chicken broth, stir continuously, cook for about 3-5 minutes until thickened.
- Add cream cheese and Parmesan, stir until melted and sauce is smooth.
- Return cooked pasta, broccoli, and sliced chicken to skillet, toss in the sauce for 2-3 minutes.
- Serve immediately, optionally garnish with extra Parmesan and herbs.
