  • 1 pound large sea scallops larger shrimp can work if scallops are unavailable
  • 1 cup red bell pepper (cut into 1-inch pieces) other bell peppers or zucchini can be used
  • 1 cup green bell pepper (cut into 1-inch pieces) any color bell pepper can replace it
  • 1 cup red onion (cut into 1-inch wedges) substitute with sweet onion or shallots

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Soak the wooden skewers in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Whisk together the marinade ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  3. Combine the seafood and veggies in a bowl and marinate for 15-20 minutes.
  4. Thread shrimp, scallops, and veggies onto soaked skewers, alternating pieces.
  5. Preheat grill to medium-high heat (400°F to 450°F) and oil the grates.
  6. Grill the skewers for 3-4 minutes on each side until cooked.
  7. Let skewers rest for a few minutes before serving.
