Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 400º F (200º C) and grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, and nutmeg. Add butter and water; stir until boiling and all sugar is dissolved.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg until smooth.
  4. Pour in milk and vanilla extract, mix until smooth, then fold in peaches until coated.
  5. Pour the peach filling into the greased dish and evenly spread it. Pour the topping mixture over the filling.
  6. Bake for 50-55 minutes or until the top is golden and the filling bubbles. Cover with foil if browning too quickly.
  7. Allow the pudding to cool for at least 15 minutes before serving.
