Method
 

Preparation
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 13x9-inch baking pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cake mix, buttermilk, and eggs according to the cake mix package instructions. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the prepared batter evenly into your greased baking pan. Insert 12 toothpicks into the batter, spaced about 1 inch apart.
  4. Bake for approximately 25 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. After cooling for 5 minutes, poke holes in the cake every 1 inch apart using a straw.
  6. Gently spoon 1 cup of vanilla pudding into each hole until generously filled.
  7. Arrange thawed banana slices over the top and spoon any remaining pudding over them.
  8. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
