  • 1 lb Ground Pork or ground turkey or chicken for a lighter option
  • 2 cups Cabbage shredded; can use broccoli slaw or bean sprouts
  • 1 cup Carrots shredded; can substitute shredded zucchini or bell peppers
  • 4 stalks Green Onions chopped; or substitute chives
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce or tamari for gluten-free option
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced; adjust to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger grated; use according to personal preference
For Cooking
  • 2-3 inches Oil for frying; ensure it’s hot enough (at least 350°F)

Preparation Steps
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, shredded cabbage, grated carrots, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and grated ginger. Add soy sauce and mix until combined.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper on a clean surface with one corner pointing towards you. Spoon about 2 tablespoons of filling in the center, fold bottom corner over, and roll tightly. Seal edges with water.
  3. Heat oil in a deep skillet until it reaches 350°F. Ensure the oil is hot enough for frying.
  4. Fry egg rolls in hot oil for about 3-4 minutes on each side until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
  5. Serve warm with your favorite dipping sauce like sweet and sour or soy sauce.

Notes
