Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Chill a mixing bowl and whisk in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
  2. Pour very cold heavy cream into the bowl, and whip until stiff peaks form (3-5 minutes).
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk dulce de leche until smooth. Warm it in the microwave if too thick.
  4. Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into the dulce de leche until combined.
  5. Fold one-third of the whipped cream into the dulce de leche mixture.
  6. Gently fold the enriched mixture back into the remaining whipped cream.
  7. Spoon mousse into serving dishes, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
  8. Before serving, add desired garnishes.
