Preparation Steps
- Chill a mixing bowl and whisk in the refrigerator for 15–20 minutes.
- Pour very cold heavy cream into the bowl, and whip until stiff peaks form (3-5 minutes).
- In a separate bowl, whisk dulce de leche until smooth. Warm it in the microwave if too thick.
- Stir in vanilla extract and a pinch of salt into the dulce de leche until combined.
- Fold one-third of the whipped cream into the dulce de leche mixture.
- Gently fold the enriched mixture back into the remaining whipped cream.
- Spoon mousse into serving dishes, cover with plastic wrap, and refrigerate for 2-3 hours.
- Before serving, add desired garnishes.
