Ingredients

For the Fries
  • 1 bag Frozen Crispy Fries Use high-quality fries for maximum crunch; homemade fries are a delightful alternative.
For the Burger Patties
  • 1 lb Ground Beef An 80/20 blend offers the most flavor and juiciness; try ground turkey for a leaner option.
For the Cheese Sauce
  • 2 cups Cheese (freshly grated) Mix cheddar and mozzarella for the perfect creamy flavor.
  • 2 tbsp Butter Adds rich flavor to the cheese sauce.
  • 2 tbsp Flour Thickens the cheese sauce, creating a creamy texture.
  • 1 cup Milk Makes the cheese sauce creamy and delicious.
Toppings
  • 1/2 cup Thousand Island Dressing Brings tanginess to the dish.
  • 1/4 cup Pickles Add crunch to your dish.
  • 1/4 cup Jalapeños Add spice to your dish.

Equipment

  • Oven
  • baking sheet
  • skillet
  • spatula
  • mixing bowl

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C). Arrange the frozen crispy fries in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown and crispy.
  2. In a mixing bowl, season the ground beef with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the beef into six equal portions, rolling each into a ball.
  3. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Melt a tablespoon of butter or splash of olive oil in the hot pan for flavor.
  4. Place the beef balls in the skillet, pressing down to flatten into thin patties. Sear for 3-4 minutes until crispy, then flip and cook for another 1-2 minutes.
  5. Layer the crispy fries on a serving platter. Drizzle warm cheese sauce over fries, then break and sprinkle the cooked burger patties on top.
  6. Reheat in the oven for 5-10 minutes to warm everything through and melt the cheese sauce.
  7. Drizzle with Thousand Island dressing and top with pickles and jalapeños. Add more toppings as desired.
