Preparation
- Prepare the Glaze: In a medium mixing bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, soy sauce, Dijon mustard, garlic powder, and black pepper. Set aside.
- Chop the Ingredients: Slice kielbasa into 1-inch rounds, cut pineapple into 1-inch chunks, and chop the bell peppers. Ensure even sizes for uniform cooking.
- Assemble the Skewers: Thread kielbasa, pineapple, and bell peppers onto skewers, alternating ingredients. If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 20 minutes prior.
- Brush with Glaze: Brush each skewer generously with the prepared glaze for optimal flavor.
- Preheat the Grill: Preheat the grill to medium heat (around 350°F / 175°C) and ensure the grates are clean and lightly oiled.
- Grill the Skewers: Place the skewers on the grill for 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until the kielbasa is tender and the pineapple is caramelized.
- Brush with Additional Glaze: For extra flavor, brush the skewers with more glaze during the last few minutes of grilling.
- Serve and Enjoy: Once grilled to a char, let skewers rest for a couple of minutes before serving them warm, perhaps with a side of rice or salad.
