Step-by-Step Instructions

  2. Marinate the chicken thighs with olive oil, honey Dijon mustard, minced garlic, salt, lemon zest, and dried oregano for at least 1 hour.
  3. Thread your marinated chicken thighs onto a Vertical Gyro Spit Plate or skewers with halved onions.
  4. Place the gyro preparation on a baking tray lined with parchment paper and pour about 1 cup of water or stock into the tray.
  5. Bake the chicken for 75 to 90 minutes, checking that the internal temperature reaches 165°F.
  6. Let the chicken rest for about 10 minutes before slicing.
  7. Serve the gyros on warm pita bread topped with fresh veggies and tzatziki sauce.
