Ingredients

For the Dough
  • 1 package Crescent Dough Chill slightly before unrolling to prevent tearing.
For the Filling
  • 2 cups Cooked Turkey Substitute with chicken, ham, or roast beef for variations.
  • 1 cup Cranberry Sauce Both homemade or canned work wonderfully.
  • 1 cup Cheese (Monterey Jack or Cheddar) Feel free to swap with your favorite melting cheese for a twist.
For Assembly
  • 2 tablespoons Butter Use an alternative oil for a dairy-free option.
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame Seeds Omit the seeds if preferred.

Equipment

  • baking sheet
  • mixing bowl
  • Parchment paper

Method

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to the temperature indicated on the crescent dough package, typically around 375°F (190°C). Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Unroll the chilled crescent dough on your prepared baking sheet, arranging the triangles in a circle with points facing outward.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine the cooked turkey, cranberry sauce, and shredded cheese, stirring until well-blended.
  4. Spoon the turkey mixture evenly across the wide ends of the crescent dough triangles without overfilling.
  5. Gently fold the points of the dough triangles over the filling and tuck them underneath the base, creating a ring shape.
  6. Melt the butter and brush it generously over the top of the formed crescent ring. Optionally, sprinkle sesame seeds on top before baking.
  7. Place the baking sheet in your preheated oven and bake for approximately 20-25 minutes until golden-brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and allow it to cool slightly on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes before serving warm.
