- In a large mixing bowl, combine shredded cooked chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, and half of the chicken broth. Mix thoroughly until creamy.
- Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray. Spoon the chicken mixture into the dish, spreading it out evenly.
- Prepare the stuffing mix following package instructions. Spread the stuffing over the chicken mixture in the baking dish.
- Melt some butter and drizzle it evenly over the stuffing layer.
- Place the casserole in the preheated oven and bake uncovered for 35-40 minutes until golden-brown.
- Check for bubbling and firmness. If needed, continue baking for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
