Step‑by‑Step Instructions for Healthy Ground Chicken Meatloaf
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chicken, rolled oats, unsweetened applesauce, chopped onion, bell pepper, and minced garlic.
  3. Add the large egg, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon mustard, dried thyme, rosemary, smoked paprika, black pepper, and salt to the bowl.
  4. Carefully combine all ingredients, being mindful not to overmix.
  5. Allow the combined mixture to rest for about 5-10 minutes.
  6. Lightly grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan.
  7. Transfer the meat mixture into the prepared loaf pan and form a loaf shape.
  8. If desired, mix ketchup and apple cider vinegar, then spread over the top of the meatloaf.
  9. Bake for 60-75 minutes, checking for an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  10. Once cooked, remove from the oven and allow to rest for 10-15 minutes.
