  • 2 cups Apples tart varieties like Granny Smith, peeled and diced

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Roll out the thawed puff pastry to about 1/8-inch thickness and cut into squares roughly 4 inches in size.
  3. In a medium bowl, combine softened cream cheese, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon until smooth.
  4. Fold diced apples into the cream cheese mixture until evenly coated.
  5. Place a spoonful of filling in the center of each pastry square and fold corners over to seal.
  6. Whisk an egg and brush over the tops of each folded danish.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until puffed and golden brown.
  8. Cool on a wire rack for a few minutes before serving warm.
