Cake Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease the cake pans with vegetable oil or butter.

  3. Add eggs, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to dry ingredients. Beat on medium speed until smooth, about 2 minutes.
  4. Gradually stir in boiling water until fully combined. The batter will be thin.
  5. Pour the batter evenly into the prepared pans and bake for 30-35 minutes. Check doneness with a toothpick.
  6. Once baked, cool the cakes in the pans for 10 minutes before inverting onto a wire rack.
  7. Allow the cakes to cool completely on the rack before frosting.
