- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a mixing bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, butter, eggs, and milk. Mix until smooth for about 2-3 minutes.
- Gently fold in crushed cookies into the chocolate batter using a spatula, keeping cookie chunks intact.
- Pour the batter evenly into prepared cake pans and bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Allow the cakes to cool in the pans for 10 minutes, then remove from pans and cool completely on a wire rack.
- Arrange the first layer on a plate, spread frosting on top, place the second layer on top, and apply a crumb coat of frosting.
