Method

Step‑By‑Step Instructions
  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine all-purpose flour, instant yeast, and sugar. Gradually add lukewarm water, mixing until a sticky dough forms. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  2. After resting, add kosher salt to the dough. Knead the mixture on medium speed for about 8 minutes until a soft, slightly sticky ball forms.
  3. Transfer the kneaded dough to an oiled sheet pan, spreading it out slightly. Cover and allow it to rise in a warm place for 1 hour.
  4. Preheat your oven to 450°F (232°C) and place a cast-iron pan upside down on the lowest oven rack to heat.
  5. While the dough rises, prepare the no-cook sauce by mixing crushed tomatoes, minced garlic, olive oil, and seasonings.
  6. Gently stretch the risen dough to cover the edges of the greased pan. Cover and let it rest for another 20 minutes.
  7. Spread a thin layer of the no-cook sauce evenly over the dough. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese and layer pepperoni on top.
  8. Bake the assembled pizza on the heated cast-iron pan for 18-20 minutes until bubbly and golden brown.
  9. Let the pizza cool for about 5 minutes, garnish with fresh basil, cut into slices, and serve hot.
