Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Jalapeño Popper Egg Rolls
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until creamy.
  2. Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the filling into the center. Moisten edges with water. Fold bottom corner over filling, then roll tightly away from you, folding in sides.
  3. Place assembled egg rolls seam-side down on a tray. Let them rest for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.
  4. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375°F (190°C). Fry egg rolls in batches for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Remove egg rolls and place on paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Cool for a minute before serving.
