Step-by-Step Instructions for Crispy Jalapeño Popper Egg Rolls
- In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, diced jalapeños, shredded cheddar cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Mix thoroughly until creamy.
- Lay an egg roll wrapper flat on a clean surface. Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the filling into the center. Moisten edges with water. Fold bottom corner over filling, then roll tightly away from you, folding in sides.
- Place assembled egg rolls seam-side down on a tray. Let them rest for 10-15 minutes at room temperature.
- Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 375°F (190°C). Fry egg rolls in batches for 3-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove egg rolls and place on paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Cool for a minute before serving.
