Preparation Steps
- Begin by boiling water in a kettle or pot. Once boiled, pour the hot water over the refrigerated tortellini in a bowl, letting them sit for about 3 minutes to soften. After the time is up, drain the excess water and gently fluff the tortellini to ensure even cooking later.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the softened tortellini. Drizzle in olive oil and sprinkle with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and grated Parmesan cheese. Toss the tortellini gently, ensuring each piece is well-coated.
- Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes. While the air fryer is heating, spray the basket with a light coating of cooking spray.
- Once preheated, carefully arrange the coated tortellini in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Cook for 8-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
- After cooking, if you need to prepare more tortellini in batches, keep the cooked ones warm in an oven set to 200°F (93°C).
- Once all tortellini are cooked to a crispy finish, serve them immediately with marinara sauce or a creamy dipping sauce.
