- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). If using fresh croissants, lightly toast them for about 5 minutes. Cut croissants into bite-sized pieces and place in a greased 9x13 baking dish.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together eggs, heavy cream, and cream cheese until smooth. Fold in dill and lemon zest.
- Layer croissant pieces in the prepared baking dish. Pour custard mixture over croissants, pressing down gently.
- Cover with plastic wrap and let sit for at least 30 minutes or refrigerate overnight.
- Remove cover and bake for 35-40 minutes, until golden brown and bubbly. Tent with foil if browning too quickly.
- Allow to cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
