Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Begin by prepping your ingredients. Chop your carrots and peppers into bite-sized pieces, and cut raw chicken breasts into cubes if using.
  2. In the slow cooker, add the cubed chicken, chopped vegetables, and refrigerated tortellini. Pour in the broth, cover the ingredients, and season with garlic and Italian herbs. Stir gently and set to low for 4-6 hours or high for 2-3 hours.
  3. Cover the slow cooker and let the mixture cook. Expect about 4-6 hours on low or about 2 hours on high.
  4. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in the heavy cream to create a creamy texture. Mix well and cover again.
  5. Once done, stir again and serve into bowls. Garnish with freshly chopped parsley and serve immediately.
