Preparation Steps
- Start by rolling out the pie dough on a lightly floured surface until it's about 1/8 inch thick. Place it into a 9-inch pie pan.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the eggs until frothy. Gradually mix in the melted butter, sugar, and flour, ensuring a smooth mixture.
- Slowly add the whipping cream, vanilla extract, and salt, stirring until well combined.
- Pour the custard filling into the prepared pie crust and bake for 20 minutes. Cover with aluminum foil and continue baking for another 30 to 40 minutes.
