Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Rinse 1 cup of rice under cold water until clear. In a pot, combine with 2 cups of water and a pinch of salt. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes. Fluff with a fork.
  2. Season 2 salmon fillets with salt and pepper. Heat skillet over medium-high and add 1 tablespoon olive oil and 1 tablespoon butter. Cook salmon skin-side down for 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. Keep warm.
  3. In the same skillet, add 1 tablespoon butter over medium heat. Sauté 3 minced garlic cloves for 1 minute. Pour in ½ cup chicken broth, simmer for 2-3 minutes, then stir in ½ cup cream and 1 teaspoon paprika until thickened.
  4. Add juice of half a lemon and chopped parsley to the sauce. Return salmon to the skillet, spoon sauce over top, and heat for 1-2 minutes.
