Step-by-Step Instructions
- Begin by heating a medium saucepan over medium heat. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter (or coconut oil for a dairy-free option) until it’s bubbling. Slice one ripe banana into rounds and add them to the pan along with 1 tablespoon of coconut sugar and a sprinkle of cinnamon. Cook for 4-5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the bananas are golden brown and caramelized.
- Once the bananas are nicely caramelized, remove them from heat and allow them to cool slightly for about 5 minutes.
- Transfer the cooled caramelized bananas into a blender and add 1 cup of your milk of choice. Blend on high speed until creamy and smooth, about 30-45 seconds.
- While your banana milk is blending, grab a tall glass and fill it halfway with ice cubes.
- Pour 1 cup of cold brew or brewed espresso over the ice in your glass. Give it a gentle stir to mix.
- Slowly pour the creamy banana milk over the cold brew, allowing it to float on top.
- Your caramelized banana iced latte is ready to be enjoyed! Serve it immediately while the flavors are fresh and vibrant.
