  • ¼ cup Granulated Sugar Optional for topping
  • 1 pinch Sea Salt Kosher salt works as substitute

Method
 

Step-by-Step Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Place saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  3. Melt 1 cup of unsalted butter and 1 cup of brown sugar in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Stir continuously until boiling and bubbly for about 4–5 minutes.
  4. Pour the hot toffee mixture over the arranged saltine crackers, ensuring even distribution. Bake for 5–7 minutes or until bubbling and caramelized.
  5. Sprinkle 2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips over the hot toffee, allow to soften and spread.
  6. Mix together ¼ cup of granulated sugar and 1 tablespoon of cinnamon, sprinkle evenly on top of the chocolate.
  7. Lightly sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt to enhance the flavors.
  8. Let the toffee cool completely on the baking sheet before breaking into pieces.
