Cooking Steps
- Begin by bringing a large pot of salted water to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package instructions until al dente, usually about 10–12 minutes. Reserve ½ cup of the starchy pasta water before draining.
- In a large skillet, melt 1 tablespoon of butter over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef, breaking it up as it cooks. Season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned and crispy, about 5–7 minutes, then remove from skillet and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and add the remaining tablespoon of butter. Once melted, add minced garlic and sauté for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add the cream cheese, allowing it to soften and melt into the garlic.
- Gradually stir in the milk or half-and-half, mixing until smooth. Add grated Parmesan cheese and the remaining Cajun seasoning, stirring continuously for 2–3 minutes as the sauce thickens. Adjust seasoning to taste.
- Return the browned ground beef to the skillet, followed by the drained bowtie pasta. Toss to ensure the pasta is well-coated in the creamy sauce. Add reserved pasta water to reach desired consistency.
- Serve immediately while hot, garnishing with additional grated Parmesan and chopped parsley if desired. Enjoy!

Notes
Allow cream cheese to sit at room temperature for easier melting. Always reserve pasta water for sauce emulsification.
